of love The idea of love and being loved
something greater than ourselves bestowed from above
takes our world and snow dome like
shakes the sky and makes hopes spike
the gentlest kiss is edged with dragon fire
holding hands a sign of deepest infinite desire
who would think the world could so turn
we fatalistic romantics had been expecting to burn
discover love sheltered in another arms
shared and grown a crop for lover's farms
not caged or free range or clothed in gold
a something wonderful difficult to hold
impossible to find unless it is found
when discovered everywhere in sky or ground
the hearts of all seem mellowed down
every face carries a smile not a frown
rose coloured glasses barely encapsulate
the beauty of the world to which you now relate,
