Bend my covers like a book

those many pages of imagination
a sensual study along my lines

 Oh I understand completely. I have one, and don't use it.....I don't like it. It ruins the connection with my beloved books......I like the weight of them in my hand..the feeling of the cover, the smell and the way my fingers scan down the pages to sense the paper. I love turning the pages and sticking my finger in places to reread certain passages that delighted me. Yes, I don't think the ebook phenomenon is for this girl...and probably won't ever be. The only time I would contemplate using it is if a book is out of print, and I can't get it any other way...and even then I would resent it the whole time, as only filling a part of my need for the story...not the whole experience.

of course the problem is....our houses are not designed for the number of books we would read.....and I am bad at giving up those I have read and enjoyed....shocking I know!

you maybe surprised to hear I have not purchased a kindle....economically it makes sense, however, tho lose the sensual pleasure in opening book....some things are more than just pages and glue...
