the loud chorus of nots and aints
the world has always had more of
the type of people who would scoff
the purveyors of it can't ever be done
how every battle fought would never be won
we would still be hanging in the trees
if we stopped every time they said freeze
life is not about what is won or lost
and sometimes battles are not about cost
sometimes it is about doing because what was
conceals some subjucated truth or cause
those which say it cannot ever be done
would say after Winter might not be a Sun
that humanity will never walk upon the Moon
the invention of steam will be our doom
believe in yourself and greater ambition set
higher than your belief was or is yet
believe in the good of who we all are
fight for your core beliefs and go far
respect understand and community grow
as against bigotry and ignorance weight throw
to their irksome complaints close your ears
ride in hope and conquer their petty fears.
