Why these Winds of Change Why these Winds of Change Wisdom of these thoughts Between the good and distraught Not expecting a journey untroubled Accept in life's challenges some joys may crumble Need to confront ignorance and the bigot Those people who seems civilized thought forgot Now on social media they can find their own kind As I find those of similar values and mind How we mutually join in denouncing those Who do not see life as we see life flows Disappointed angered and frustrated by their views As they do not know how to better vote or choose While we worldly snug in our own blinkered vision Do not foresee the inevitable terrible collision Of what is in our world compared to theirs How we have different wants and cares World change has constant been to our benefit While this new world in their life does not fit So why should they not rebel against such injustice They state world change has so cursed us Left us less than we were and removed our dignity AS we state they should lose their beliefs rigidity And if they asked the same of us we would not change We would refuse to accept a world unfair and strange The status quo is biased to our needs This world as it exists comfortably our wants feeds Even as this same world their needs ignore Unemployed struggling and angry to their core Feel the world which was has deceived them Want a world they can believe and succeed in again They hold no confidence in your institutions Feel unprotected by your state constitutions You allow industries to close and free trade agreements made Was with loss of their jobs and prosperity your country paid Made powerless and without direction or pride why is it surprising they oppose the path you would ride And now they want to pull your order and rule down Destroy the establishment and a pompous fool crown Is not simply your world order and liberal values they hate Is simply they refuse to passively accept their ordained fate.
