 I love my books to pieces and value every one. i have never done this to one yet. I have many ideas for bookmarks LOL. Thanks for sharing

 I have heard you can ruin a book by leaving it open across it's spine. I don't do that often, though. Sure, sometimes, but not often.

Again, I love your poetry, and will find some time in the future to read through some more of it.

well, I have a terrible confession to make....sometimes I place books down like this, only for a moment or two.....or at least that is my plan....however I get distracted and....the poor book, in spinal torture all that time...

....fortunately my inefficient memory works well on one thing.....recalling what part of the plot I was at, and....sometimes, the exact page number I closed a book at....

 There are some things you should not do
if you love to read and words view
never leave a book open across its spine
for it will break and the story within unwind!

Use a bookmark or your tongue
or simply recall page number where story hung
if not a thousand paper cuts on you
for everytime you leave a book like this in view!!!
