Distant Shimmering Sights
These distant shimmering sights
a city spread marked by flickering lights
looking over and beyond from the heights
caressing your warm skin through your tights
the sky above a bowl of lacquered China black
stars a million points of silver gleaming back
catch a hint of this distant cosmic silver fire
in how your eyes gleam in awakened desire
our kisses are slow and full and shared
across lips and jaw and lower skin bared
a beautiful night to make love
