seeking a shoulder
One body your own body
Can warm a bed not a heart
Even those who comfortable in own company
Still seek a shoulder to assist to carry the load
A fellow pallbearer to make light weight of life
Carry the emotions thoughts turmoil and memories
Till lay down in the eternal silence
Escape world's unthinking unflinching violence
A partner to hold and embrace and caress
To praise your beauty still when you awake a mess
Those eyes which with a glance can give strength
In a light touch centre certainty
Allow you to be braver than you ever could before
Know if you fall there is someone to give a hand
To raise you up and state
Most of life is effort but some degree is fate
And so we risk trek beyond self-sufficient thoughts
To coils of others mischief in which we are caught
Trying to find the one who our needs meets
And with our wants aligns and enthusiastically greets.
