there's plenty of jerks around for sure, but with such a wide ration of men to women on here even a lot of the "nice guys" don't get much traction...

I have to agree with Mrmattman, there are so many jerks on the internet that it makes it very hard for good guys to be noticed. If you are looking locally you probably have one thousand men competing for twenty-five women. I didn't know so many men in the world are assholes until I went on an interactive adult webcam site. It also made me realize what some or most women have to put up with. It's ridiculous.

Ah, but then one cannot correct what one cannot perceive. I am sure that there are many men to consider their approach to be suave and sophisticated when you do not. And they probably were correct in the days when cavemen were the norm, they just have not necessarily kept up with evolution. But for the other side of the coin, it is surprising how many women can be crass and boorish too. Probably not quite as many as men, but it does surprise me how, in this day and age, people could have missed out on the norms of basic etiquette
