cause for concern

With everything that I'm reading on-line and elsewhere about condoms not being as effective anymore, it really raises an eyebrow. I just saw a headline that read "Condom use reduces, but does not eliminate, the risk of contracting genital herpes, according to a new review of research."
I see plenty of photos here of people not using condoms...hopefully these are with their solid partners and not random hook-ups. The few times that I've been to swing clubs, I've always seen condoms though, which is somewhat comforting.
I guess what isn't comforting is that we're getting back to where we were in the 80's...using condoms doesn't really promise you anything anymore STD-wise, and it makes me reluctant to meet people in a casual sex setting now. Especially when people sometimes don't even know that they carry such diseases.
To everyone who takes time to read this, just be extra careful. There are so many nasty things out there, that once you get them, you're stuck with them for life...

Well, while I'm sure most of you will be out and about enjoying time off and firing up the grill. Since my line of work is unlike most people's, I'll be working today through Monday night. If you're bored, and you know where I work, come visit me! For those who will be spending time with friends and family, have fun and enjoy the time that you get to spend with them. Just be careful if you choose to have a few drinks, there are lots of cops on the roads this time of year...as well as drivers that are straight up hammered. Best wishes to everyone!

How much is too much?

So, after being on this site for almost 3 years, I've noticed that one of the biggest pet peeves that the ladies here have is guys that come on too strong, and are "pushy." Especially most of the couples are looking for someone who isn't going to rush right into things. Therefore, I'm careful about how much I talk about sex the first time I meet someone, or about making moves in a public setting where I don't know many people.
However, I seemed to have made a couple of my network friend ladies think that I'm shy, boring, and a perhaps a lame duck. I would just like some advice from all of my other Passion friends about what they would expect from first impressions. What are you couples and ladies looking for that is more than just a bunt, but not trying to hit a home run right away??

So, I lost my "Gold" membership a few months ago, and haven't really been on Passion until last month when I was checking more into the whole idea of blogs and the different groups on the site. It's amazing what you actually can do as a non-paying guy member. I've already met some awesome people and have plans to meet many more over the summer. Hope all is well with everyone who took the time to read this....

So I've found it interesting that as of recently, most of the people I'm chatting with and have planned meetings for are in Orlando. Not that this is a bad thing, it's not exactly an over-night trip. The funny thing is that I thought living in Tampa, I would meet plenty of contacts here. I've met and chatted with a few, but the majority of them are in Orlando. I guess I'll be getting to know that town pretty well in 2009. Happy New Year to all of my Passion friends, best wishes!

I don't really have anything exciting to report as the holiday's roll around this year....the temps here in Tampa are a little colder than I remember them being last year, but I will have to say that I've chatted with a few nice folks here lately. I just thought I would take a few minutes to think out loud (or at least typed out) about the fact that I have met so many incredible people on this site, but feel bad that I can't ever get 2 days off back to back to meet them in person. Being a full time grad student, and working a full time job sucks as it is...It's definitely nice to chat on-line when I get home from class/work, but I just worry that my Passion friends will give up on me because of it. Now, Passion was partially created so that people with no life can also meet sexy girls and guys, but on the flipside....the goal is to meet! LOL!!

Fake profiles suck!!

Ok, so how many other people here are sick of looking at the homepage and that section of "new online members" to find out that 90% of those profiles are fake?? Seriously..Some of them are obvious and don't even require thought, but others can be deceiving. The thing I look for is if they have any friends in their network. If there aren't any, and they've been a member for a couple of days, it's a fake profile. I don't know if it's spam, or just dumb with nothing better to do than take pics off of porn sites and build a profile with them and see how many suckers send E-mails to them. I just wish there was a way for Passion to regulate stuff like that, so annoying!!
