I'm an Aussie in a far-off land, living and working in Europe, and making a trip back home every year for a taste of the good things in life. The good things in life include a wonderful male companion who would reflect and complement my better qualities and absorb or ignore my many imperfections until for all intents and purposes they all but disappear!

My imperfections? A less than perfect body that I don't even try to keep in shape (the only kind of physical activity I believe in is the kind that takes two)... I would like to think, though, that with the right man that could change for the better… I am lazy, egotistical and indulgent. I've lived alone for a long time and become used to doing exactly what I want, when I want - sometimes to my own detriment. I sleep at crazy hours and binge on reading (I love literary fiction) or the cinema. I am something of a sensualist... which brings me to my good points.

I am a woman with appetites and fling myself into what I am doing with passion and involvement. I am passionate about literature, the cinema, animals, wine, and great sex. I am reserved but not shy, warm and fun, and if we meet and find there is an emotional and intellectual connection spiced with a heady chemistry between us that develops into irresistible attraction, then I will open up to you and we can embark on a great exploration of each other.

I care about my own appearance and would hope that we would find one another attractive at the "primal" level, and that we also click in other ways - for unflaggingly bright and witty conversation and shared good times in whatever we decide to do together. Neither of us will be perfect, but it has to feel right: you know it when you feel it. I would like the feeling to develop into an understanding and some sort of commitment about wanting to be together. We could be lovers without crowding one another, we could be mad about each other without being each other's keepers: a long distance relationship would be the perfect thing.

My Ideal Person: Since I spend the greater part of the year in Europe, it would make sense if you travel to Europe several times a year. It doesn't matter where - we can meet anywhere - but I need to know that there will be some sort of continuity for us. You are 40-60, preferably tall, shape not that important (as long as I find you ravishing!!), a sensual, tactile man, expressive, well-spoken, passionate (sexually, emotionally, intellectually), someone who is still curious about the world.

I hope that you would be well-read, articulate, urbane and socially at ease. I also have to say that I am inexplicably but irresistibly attracted to a man who can spell! Don’t ask me why! What else? Wine-lover, animal-lover (particularly cats), movie-lover,... all that is nice but secondary. Most important is the chemistry that will lead to us becoming lovers and soulmates.

And please – no married men: I invest too much in a relationship to end up playing second fiddle or to help prop up someone’s boring marriage.
