Swinging! I am sure this has been asked, but have you all seen Swingtown on CBS? Is it a true depiction of the lifestyle? I don't think having been involved with woman I worked with and her boyfriend, or being with two women once qualifies me as being in the lifestyle. In one of the episodes, the female ran into an old boyfriend. She spend some time with him while her husband was out of town working. They were all together in one scene and the ex remarked that they should go somewhere and make love, and her husband didn't need to know. The husband stepped in and said they were a team, and they all went off to play. My question is, wouldn't that put the male off knowing that the ex wanted to fuck the woman behind his back? I would imagine that people have their own relationship agreements. All I know is that I would not want to be in a relationship that translated to partnering in life with someone that the communication between us was not honest and open and clear and in truth. It is that simple for me. I know alot of people who's definition of terms of a relationship of a sort doesn't match up how others would define it. Maybe this is a different strokes for different folks program  Then again, I couldn't imagine taking my personal life onto a tv program like that in that way either. No judgment ...just my truth. Sorry, I can't speak from experience for you on this one. I've never been in this type of relationship. I would imagine that it would depend on where they laid out their boundaries beforehand. As I've heard that particular female say, "It's not cheating if we tell each other." But in last night's episode, you can clearly see that it did cause some mixed feeling in the husband. I think it will be interesting to see how these characters are developed. Swingers can still have difficulty accepting certain people as partners. The question is where they set their limits and how well they communicate. My thoughts are based on what I've learned from the posts/comments of swingers I've read here in the blogs.
