Submission I am reading "Fifty Shades of Grey" by E.L. James; an erotic trilogy about a wealthy incredibly hot Dom who takes a college student virgin on as a sub. The concept really turns me on, but not sure I could truly be a submissive. I enjoy turning over the control especially since in my professional/home life I am the one expected to be in control. I also get turned on by the pleasure/pain aspect. Spankings, being tied up, told what to do, being taken...  |

"Fifty Shades of Grey" is not true BDSM. It's a pop lesson in sexuality, but really doesn't cover some of basics in a natural D/s relationship. Role-playing has nothing to do with natural dominance or submission. You can't be either from reading a book........ I have always told people that they difference between reality and fantasy is the word "NO". This "Fifty Shades of Gray" book is just displaying a type of play that has been enjoyed by a lot of people. You say that you " enjoy turning over the control especially since in my professional/home life." Well, you would be glad to know that you are one of the most people that would take on a "submission" position if you were to find someone that you felt was worth giving that control too. You would have to agree to relax and give up that control to another. Once you have done that you would be on your way to enjoying your submissive side. People often think that a submissive is weak and not in control of anything. That is not the case...as a submissive you pick the one that you want to take you on your submissive journey. It is you that picks them and allows them to take you where you want to go. There is nothing sexier than a submissive that is intelligent, sexy, and able to express her desires. Putting her Dom to the test and making him come with his "A" game and rock your world. This allows the DOM to display his skills and show you that he is up to the task. Once he has shown you that he has what it takes to show you your wild side....the skies the limit. All the other things that you have on your list of things to experience is again an agreement with you and your DOM. Like everything else there are likes and dislikes, Do's and Don'ts. These are things that would be negotiated ahead of time. That book is just a Cleaned up version of BDSM packaged in a way that the public and embrace. Try it ...you might like it. (By the way...have yet to read that book and don't really think I will. Been into BDSM for most mt adult life.)
