We are not directly affected by the Heartbleed exploit
We are not directly affected by the Heartbleed exploit As many new sources have reported on a widespread virus affecting website security called "Heartbleed", I wanted to let our members know that our network is not affected by it as we use different networking equipment than the type that are vulnerable. However, as there are many other websites that might be compromised, if you use the same password on multiple sites, it might be a good time to update your password both here and others sites. The issue is if your password is compromised on another site, hackers might use it to log in here. You should try to use both numbers and upper/lower cased letters in your password. Avoid passwords like "password", "abc123", and "secret"... instead use ones like "3yAbt92". Some ways to help remember a password could be to remember a phrase like "tomorrow 3 friends will eat 6 apple pies = "T3fWe6Ap" (alternating upper and lower cased letters). We have also recently upgrade the way that handle passwords in email to make our site more secure in the even that your personal email account (e.g., gmail, yahoo) get hacked. Thanks |

JAFO222 is correct about the password not being case sensitive.

Perhaps not, but you did have a rather large security issue where more than 3 Million (give or take depending on the source) records including sensitive information in profile and perhaps credit cards were dumped by a hacker. At last count this had been downloaded more that 15,000 times (again depending on the source). I think a small tag line at the bottom of the page does not cover the problem. Most of the people I chat with had no idea there was any issue. Also, according to the hacker (ROR[RG]) who released the information, the only reason there were no password or credit cards released is that he redacted them. Of course the hacker may be lying but a recent post I saw on this from an IT security guy claimed to have downloaded a file with credit card data. And while you say in the blurb at the bottom of my page that my account has not been affected, I do know that one of my friend's account has been affected even though you have the same tag line for him. So, I suspect that tag line is there for all accounts and not just the ones that have not been breached. I understand you have hired FireEye to investigate and do not want to comment further, but I would be nice to know what steps you are taking to secure the data in the future. It feels like this issue is being banal-ified so we will just tire of it. Thank you. I have a signature? *looks behind me*
